Dioriviera, a summer capsule by Maria Grazia Chiuri for her Spring-Summer 2019 collection, touched in Spain and Italy this May.

Ibiza, the enchanting Spanish island of the Balearics, this summer for the first time plays host to a Dior boutique. Open from June 3rd through September 30th only, the store showcases the women’s creations by Maria Grazia Chiuri alongside the men’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections by Kim Jones – including the Beachwear capsule, with its swim shorts and lightweight shirts in retro-futurist prints.

New creations include bathing suits and pareos in revisited toile de Jouy, a quintessentially French classic that fascinated Christian Dior. Accessories round out the offer, with sandals and Dior Book Totes in red, blue or black stripes, which benefit from an optional, in-store personalization service from July 1st to 15th. The art of vacationing along the island’s crystalline waters is further elevated by exclusive pieces bearing the words Porto Cervo. A celebration of life’s beauty, enhanced by a selection of jewelry by Victoire de Castellane, including the precious, personal pieces in the Rose des Vents collection, an ode to travel, both real and imaginary — one of Christian Dior’s passions.

In this ephemeral space, ideally located in the Marina at the foot of the ancient citadel, House icons like the Lady Dior bag and Dior Book Tote, as well as delicately embroidered J’Adior pumps, interplay with the summery freshness of the Dioriviera capsule collection. These exclusive pieces sport beige and red stripes mixed with toile de Jouy, the emblematic House code revisited by the Artistic Director.

Maria Grazia Chiuri is an Italian fashion designer, and the creative director at Dior. Chiuri is the first female artistic director at Dior.

In this capsule, the Creative Director revisits toile de Jouy, the emblematic House code that Christian Dior so loved, transposing all its freshness to brand new creations including swimsuits, pareos and hats. Often called “the Italian Saint Tropez”, this old fishing village has a Dior boutique where sandals mix with Dior Book Tote bags in red, blue or black stripes, which may be customized in-store during the first half of July. Exclusive pieces spelling out “Forte dei Marmi” pay homage to this elegant destination on the Tuscan Riviera. Also featured are jewelry creations by Victoire de Castellane, such as the precious and personal pieces from the Rose des Vents collection, an ode to travel (real or imagined), one of the founding couturier’s great passions.

Dioriviera, Maria Grazia Chiuri’s summer capsule collection, is touching down in Tuscany for the first time, at the seaside town of Forte dei Marmi, starting on May 30th. To find out more about this capsule collection, visit www.dior.com.
