Breitling unveils its new watches titled Breitling Aviator 8 Curtis Warhawk as a commemoration to the link between the brand and the aviation world.

Breitling unveils three new hand watches, the Breitling Aviator 8 Curtiss Warhawk collection, to commemorate its partnership with the maker of iconic P-40 Warhawk airplane that is the renowned American aircraft manufacturer, Curtiss Wright and the plane itself.

The Breitling Aviator 8 Curtiss Warhawk watches feature a military green dial with a matte finish and is presented on a green military strap. The watches’ hour and minutes hands as well as the arabic numerals on the dial are coated with The SuperLumiNova® to make it legible and easier to read in any lighting conditions.

The Breitling Aviator 8 B01 Chronograph 43 Curtiss Warhawk is driven by Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 that features a silver subdials of 12-hour and 30-minute chronograph counters and a small second subdial, and has a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The chronograph is also equipped with a bidirectional rotating bezel and a practical red pointer. The COSC-certified 43-millimetre stainless steel case Choronometer is attached to the green military strap and is water-resistant up to 10 bar (100 metres).

The caseback of Breitling Aviator 8 B01 Chronograph 43 Curtiss Warhawk is a transparent sapphire crystal printed with a Curtiss inscription and an image of P-40 Warhawk. The design with its shark’s mouth and colour scheme, is based on the characteristic paint job associated with the plane when it was piloted by the American Volunteer Group in the Chinese Air Force’s famed Flying Tigers Unit.

The Aviator 8 Chronograph 43 Curtiss Warhawk is equipped with 12-hour and 30-minute chronograph counters, a small second subdial, and the Breitling Caliber 13 that is renowned for its stability and performance. The watch has a power reserve of 42 hours and is water-resistant up to 10 bar (100 metres). The COSC-certified chronometer is presented on the green military strap and the caseback is engraved with a Curtiss inscription along with an image of a P-40 Warhawk with the dramatic shark’s mouth paintwork.

Breitling Aviator 8 Automatic 41 Curtiss Warhawk appeals to individuals with an appreciation for a clean and understated dial.

The Aviator 8 Automatic 41 Curtiss Warhawk comes with a bidirectional rotating bezel with a distinctive red pointer and a central seconds hand with a red tip. It is driven by Breitling Caliber 17 movement that has a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. The precision of the watch is confirmed by its status as a COSC-certified chronometer. The caseback is engraved with the Curtiss inscription and a dramatic image of a P-40 Warhawk with the shark’s mouth paintwork.
