Connecting with Nature at Montblanc’s The Spirit of Exploration Booth at SIHH
Montblnac brand ambassadors Hugh Jackman, model Isabeli Fontana and friends of Montblanc experience the great outdoors inside the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie.
Celebrating on the launch of their new timepieces, Montblanc celebrates The Spirit of Exploration by inviting guests to reconnect with nature and enjoy the pleasures of the outdoors inside SIHH in Geneva. Combining natural wood, luscious plant walls and breath-taking mountain views, the multisensory experience was designed to give visitors the feeling of walking through a real natural environment.
Inspiration for the booth came from the latest Montblanc 1858 timepieces based on the legendary professional Minerva watches from the 1920s and 1930s conceived for military use and mountain exploration.The booth help guests get the first look at the brand-new Montblanc timepieces inspired by the storied manufacture Minerva’s rich 161-year watchmaking heritage including the new 1858 Geosphere in a nature-inspired bronze and khaki green as well as pieces from its Heritage and TimeWalker lines.
Montblanc CEO Nicolas Baretzki introduced for the first time the Star Legacy Metamorphosis Limited Edition 8, an innovative timepiece that features a number of complications developed and produced entirely by the Montblanc engineers and master watchmakers after three years of development.
The booth has lively music with Munich DJ duo The Spectacular Now and 3-Michelin starred chef Chicco Cerea prepared a live gastronomic experience for guests to enjoy.
Present at the booth were Montblanc brand ambassador Hugh Jackman and friend of the maison Isabeli Fontana, David Gandy, Aldo Comas, Juan Avellaneda, Lawrence Wong, Sveva Alviti, Nanni Saul, Numan Acar, Mr. Kira, and Blanda Eggenschwiler. The group took part in a mixology session, enhancing the taste of the mixologists’ cocktails “The 1858”, “The Jackman” and “The Fontana” with the scents and flavours of the mountains.To reaffirm its belief in the importance of stepping outdoors to reconnect through nature, Montblanc showed its support to CREA Mont Blanc during SIHH by donating funds to the Research Center For Alpine Ecosystems rather than gifting its traditional Montblanc giveaways to guests. The money helps in the scientific and academic organization’s mission to deliver high quality ecological research to understand how alpine ecosystems function and respond to climate change, as well as communication and education initiatives.
