Innovation Watch Prize for ‘Everywhere Horizon’ at the 2018 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève
The unique timepiece of Krayon that calculates sunrise and sunset times everywhere carries the pride in winning the GPHG 2018 Innovation Watch Prize in Geneva.
Everywhere Horizon, presented in 2018 following the presentation in May 2017 by Rémi Maillat, has set its charm as a brilliant timepiece with the unique ability to determine the sunrise and sunset times anywhere across the globe – an achievement of something completely unprecedented in watchmaking. Composed of exclusivity and personalization, the watch has also been designed by combining Rémi’s agility and artistic prowess with every client’s requirements.
As hats off appreciation of the extraordinary design engineered into the watch, Krayon’s Everywhere Horizon won the Innovation Watch Prize at the 2018 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève on November 9, 2018, witnessed by numbers of sights composed of leading personalities and representatives of Swiss watch industry.
Sharing words in marking the prestigious moment, Rémi Maillat says, “Until now, in watchmaking, this function had to be set for a specific point on earth. I decided to take a direction that no-one had explored before, and developed this purpose-built, integrated movement.”
“The idea behind this timepiece is that anyone, anywhere in the world, can know the exact time at which they can contemplate these spectacles of nature and life. Because it’s the work of an engineer, it appears to be a very mathematical, scientific watch when it’s really something quite romantic,” he added.
